Chasing the sky today. Left Tam at 130pm because of a heavy cloud sticking. Stopped at Blue Rock but only got a sledder. Tried a new LZ spot close to my car so I didn’t have to pack my wing.
First time at Bantry hill … I was able to bench up and then fly downwind to the main Channing ridge. Great to get back there with no walking. I flew for an hour then squeaked back as the wind was weakening. 5 PGs, a gray day but nice fat lift. There is a fence in the middle of Bantry but it’s no problem.
Big waves, big air (Nazare)
This is a PPG towing a PG … I wonder if this will become more established. I’ll do trips to Texas and Florida next year, and there it is payout winch truck towing.
The Fusion Flow EN-C is a combination of 3-liner and 2-liner design
I checked out the dunes by Chit-Chat cafe – I’ll top land here one day. While my family was in SF I stopped by Mussel but there were too many rain cells and switching wind.
Icaro is coming out with a carbon helmet line in Feb 2020. I like the Carbon X model. Icaro makes good outer shells, but I wish they would focus on replacing the internal foam with modern “shearable” layers (e.g. MIPS, WaveCel).
